At Hope in My Boots, we are passionate about building community through connection.
Calling all those who like to boot-scoot and boogie!
Howdy and welcome!
I’m Kate Strong, an agricultural teacher by day who loves to boogie her nights away. While dancing was never an extra-curricular of mine growing up (I preferred working with cows), line dancing specifically has become part of my DNA since I first stepped on the floor in 2016.
Since starting line dancing, I have co-founded a 46,000 kilometre charity roadtrip, danced my way across Europe and started line dancing groups in two Aussie states.
For me, line dancing is a way to bring people from all walks of life together, building community and friendship. It is something that anyone can do, anywhere, at any time, to any musical genre (including Opera and Heavy Metal, trust me, I’ve tried!).
In an effort to keep bringing people together for a boot-scootin’ good time, I founded Hope in My Boots in 2023, as a way to allow all people to try something new and make some friends. Skills and rhythm are not a pre-requisite, but the ability to have fun definitely is!
See you on the dance floor soon!
Yours in boots,
Kate
